Table/Pew Combo

$4499-This bench & table combo are built from an 1800s pew obtained in Texas. The table is supported by cast iron legs resembling those of the Industrial Era (check the Drake Casting Co. For how these 108lbs legs can support over 5000lbs)

The bench is three feet of the original pew shortend to make a comfortable end bench fit for a king.

Made of the rare longleaf pine, the lumber is even more unique as it is heart pine. Unlike pine sold today, this wood has tight grains, is dense, heavy, & saturated with sap. When sawing the wood a sweet-honeylike smell fills the air.

Longleaf pines lived up to 500 years but are nearly extinct today from over harvesting. The tree this set was made from was likely growing when the pilgrims first came to the Americas.

The character of over a century & a half of use still show in the wood. Original-handcrafted nails remain lodged & polished in their original holes.
